In addition to the Foundation’s own online lectures, there are a number of other regular, online meetings and larger in-person conferences and events that serve as an invaluable resource for the QB community. Details for both types of meeting are below.

Online QB meetings

The Big Quantum meetings

These online meetings are arranged by the Quantum Biology Institute in LA. They take place on Thursdays and cover a range of quantum biology topics.

The National Institutes of Health’s QIS and Quantum Sensing in Biology Interest Group hosts online meetings that would be of interest to data/information scientists, bioengineers, chemists, biologists, physicists, and clinicians at NIH.

The Molecular Biophysics Workshop (MBW26) will take place from 27 September–1 October 2026 in Matsushima, Japan.

Conference on Computational Intelligence Methods for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics 2026

The 21st International Conference on Computational Intelligence Methods for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CIBB 2026) will take place from 2–4 September 2026 at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. The conference will host a special session titled Quantum Artificial Intelligence for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications focusing on the intersection of quantum computing, AI, and computational biology.

The ALIFE special session, Quantum Biology and Artificial Life — New Physical Principles for Living Systems will take place from 17–21 August 2026 in Waterloo, Canada.

The Quantum Biology, Cognition, and Medicine Workshop will take place from 10–11 June 2026 in Växjö, Sweden, as part of the Quantum Information and Probability: from Foundations to Engineering (QIP26) Conference.

Frontiers and Challenges in Quantum Biology

Frontiers and Challenges in Quantum Biology is a two-day conference from 16–17 April 2026 at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, marking nearly a century since Niels Bohr’s 1932 ‘Light and Life’ lecture that is seminal in the history of quantum biology.
